Today we have some exciting news about development work that has been going
on to incorporate a higher resolution terrain mesh into Falcon 4. This time
the work is being done by Bluey and Zaggy. Previous work by other groups ground
to a halt due to problems with keeping airbases levelled, but Zaggy and Bluey
seem to have found a workaround.
"Bluey and I have been upto no-good with the terrain

code, that re-renders the Korea theater (and has been carefully sculptured to
avoid screwing up stuff like airbases, and the most part of lakes and rivers,

has very kindly sent me an article he has been working on. It's a fantastic
read about using a second PC as server to increase FPS. He has clearly spent
a lot of time running experiments.

The MB339 Development Team released an upgrade for their excellent 3D-model with skin. There are now 2 versions, one for the BMS exe and one for the SP exe. The package contains an easy to use installer.
One of the nice things that is in the readme is: A full 2D/3D cockpit is in the works, hang on =)
Skins: MB-339 3D-model & skins for UAE, RNZAF, Argentina and Frecce Tricolori. This is the BMS version. There is also a SP4 version available.

For a webmaster it is always hard to predict how many visitors you will get during the month and how much bandwidth they are going to consume. At the end of the month you know however how much is left and if you can afford it to upload large popular files.
We are nearing the end of the month, and we have some bandthwidth left. This bandwidth is already paid for so why should we not use it. Therefore I uploaded the video clips from Smaug again, which have a total size of over 400 MB. You can find these clips at our Movie page.
I plan to provide you more often with these kinds of large video clips at the end of the month if bandwidth is still available.
